Industrial law - Unfair dismissal — The first day the worker resumed work after the expiration of her five weeks holidays, she received a letter of dismissal for persistent lateness and deterioration of work after verbal warnings prior to her proceeding on vacation — Dismissal unjustified — Awarded $1,625.00.

6 Anita Brann was employed as a Shop Assistant by Mr. Howard Levine from November 1969 to September 18 ^th 1978. Her last basic wage was $75.00 pet' week.

7 On 18 ^th September, 1978 the first day Anita Brann resumed work after the expiration of her five weeks holidays, she received a letter of dismissal dated 10 ^th September, 1978 signed by Howard Levine. According to the letter the reasons for dismissal were persistent lateness and deterioration of work after verbal warnings prior to her proceeding on vacation on 12 ^th August, 1978.
